Channels/Labels: R50 per month or R500 per year. Fees are non-refundable once paid. Renewal is automatic unless cancelled. Currency is displayed in R (Rand). Users must be 18+ or have consent. Provide accurate details. byME may suspend accounts for false information or breach.
Songs: R15 each. EPs/Albums priced by users (as discounted bundles ie. less than R15 per song. Example, an Album with 10 songs can be sold for R120).
60% byME, 30% to Channel and 10% to Seller (Channel is a Seller). If Registered as Label, 10% Label, 30% to Label's Artist. Channels, Sellers and Labels will be paid twice annually - January and July every year if the balance is positive and more than R100. If lower than R100, a notification and past 6 months statement will be mailed, and refunds can be made on user request.
Only original music allowed. byME checks content with ACRCloud. Infringement may lead to loss of registration fees and account termination. Email disputes exists on every match found. Original means written and produced by the Channel owner, or Artists under a Label. Covers of existing music is not allowed, unless the Artist has master rights by a respected label.
Secure card processing. All communications run over HTTPS with TLS 1.3. Payment details (user accounts) are never stored by byME. Peach tokenization is used for all cards and bank accounts. Firestore and Storage access is locked with Firebase App Check, IAM, and granular rules. Secrets and API keys are stored only in Google Cloud Secret Manager. Full audit logs of all wallet and payout events are maintained. Refunds are not available for music sales or subscriptions except as required by law.
No illegal, abusive, or fraudulent use. No redistribution or reverse-engineering.
byME not liable for third-party issues or user-uploaded content. South African Laws apply.
Accounts may be terminated for violations. No refunds provided. Users may terminate accounts and Wallet balance will be refunded within 14 working days.
byME may update Terms. Continued use indicates acceptance.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the registration, use, and participation in the byME platform ("byME", "we", "our", "us"). By registering as a user, seller, channel, or label, you agree to abide by these Terms.
